Sky Sports News reporter James Cooper gives us his take on Solskjaer’s news conference…..
“This was an upbeat and positive Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following another trying week for the Norwegian and his Manchester United squad that’s potentially seen his injury problems deepen.
“There’s a lot of goodwill towards the United manager from journalists who work the patch and who’ve known him for a long time, but that doesn’t mean problems can’t be ignored or issues not addressed.
“Solskjaer certainly gave his most assured display of the season so far for the assembled media, but also recognises the level of criticism United are facing on social media and online despite fans being positive to his face.
“Once again he told us that he never said it would be easy but that’s exactly how he made things seem in that opening burst of 15 wins from 17 games, a run that seems a world away right now.
